EDA is just completing its office renovation that started construction last summer.  Located at 25 Holland Ave. since 1998, the office was due for a refreshed look that offered something new yet worked with the existing warm wood palette. The project’s main design goals were to bring more natural light into the space, create a central “break-out” area for staff meetings plus casual meetings with clients/suppliers, and centralize the work stations for improved communication.  A multi-phased construction schedule allowed for uninterrupted office operations.  Acting as both designer and general contractor, EDA ensured that all existing materials were either re-used (birch plywood, wood studs, insulation, wood table-tops, shelving) or re-cycled wherever possible.  New suspended indirect T5 light fixtures have greatly improved the light quality and are zoned for on/off switching to suit the changing levels of natural light.
